1. FEND (VERB): (रक्षा करना)
Synonyms: guard, protect

Antonyms: lay bare, endanger

Example: Do not try to fend him.

2. TAPER OFF (VERB): abate 
Synonyms: die out, diminish

Antonyms: increase, go up

Example: The reactions soon tapered off.

3. FOIST (VERB): (अधिरोपित करना)
